Welcome. Airdriehill breeds low birth-weight, high performance easy doing cattle. Many breeders make claims - we produce the evidence emphasising ‘grass fed’ beef - the commercial breeders livelihood.

Airdriehill has been testing its breeding strategy at the A.N.F.D Grassfed Steer Trials with great success against all breeds and their crosses (live weight gain and carcass traits).

We have also entered steers at the Sydney Royal with the assistance of All Saints’ College in their preparation and showing - 2009 resulting in a Bronze Medal award (total points, market specification, eating quality and saleable meat yield).

Our selection of docile females with good milking ability has enabled Airdriehill to breed great paddock reared bulls.

We do not supplementary feed heifers or bulls for show purposes as this leads to overweight juvenile animals who later ‘break down’ as many commercial breeders have experienced. Breeders see ‘real’ cattle, not ‘bucket fed’ so they look good.

Airdriehill is DNA testing sires for Marbling, Tenderness and Feed Efficiency by Pfizer Genetic Solutions, and this is revealing our cattle are at the top of the industry for these traits. We have the genetics in the stud to enhance the qualities of the beef industry for the benefit of the consumer.
