Brooklynd was established in 1980.

We concentrate on breeding Females with very quiet temperament, Milking Ability and softness of Skin, combined with Muscling and fleshing in the Sires to produce quality and conformation.

This year we have selected 16 Bull Calves for sale late September.

We no longer hold an onproperty sale. The bulls are paddock reared and not pushed with feed. Consequently we have many loyal clients returning after 8-9 years to replace their old Bull.

Our draft of Bulls by the New Zealand Sire – Maungahina Globe was very popular in 2008 and we have just embarked on another A.I. Programme using Globe and an old Sire Academy Challenge.

Challenge was a Grand Champion – Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in his day, but more importantly, a Sire of Top Middle of the road Cattle. And despite figures, some of the best uddered milking females we have bred. We look forward to more calves by him.

On display at Beef Week we will show Cows with Calves at foot, Joined Heifers, 3 Brooklynd bred Sires, Dynasty Z31 and Dom Z60, both by Norton Park Dynasty R1 and Brooklynd Buccaneer B41, a son of Maungahina Globe.
