Maruk Droughtmasters are gaining increasing support over recent years, demonstrating their market adaptability despite adverse seasons and the increasing pressure on performance as climate change increases the severity and variability of the seasons. Fertility is a key factor in the selection program and profitability. Heifers calve at 2 years as routine.

Our target has always been to provide suitable seedstock for use in British breed herds to reduce cow wastage and provide easy care productive females to maximise hybrid vigour to meet a range of market specification. Maruk Droughtmasters have been rigorously selected for performance, fertility and quiet temperament and is a member of Droughtmaster Group BreedPlan. Semen from a number of performance tested bulls is available as is a range of bulls and heifers.

Maruk has been working with James Sheehan High School providing a range of steers and heifers which has performed well at various competitions throughout the area as well as providing experience for the students with Bos indicus cattle.
