Moorefields Red Angus was established in 1997 with a select handful of cows. By breeding these on and using Embryo Transfer programs it has grown to over 100 breeding females.

We have focused our breeding on good feet, temperament and sound structure. The Red Angus breed has taken care of the rest, cattle that are highly fertile, easy calving and have good milk.

And yes we have been successful in the show ring, including 2003 and 2004 Supreme Exhibit at the Sydney Royal Easter show with our bred bull Moorefields X-Ceed X10, who is still going strong in our herd. Our real focus is how well our customers are going in the sale ring, which from all reports, many have topped the sales and continue to re-invest with bulls from Moorefields.

We have a limited number of bulls for sale each year that have light calving weights and are paddock reared and, over recent years, drought hardened.
