Ronelle Park and TROJON Shorthorns Open Day at “Kurran Kate” 299 Snake Creek Road Garland via Lyndhurst.

 Ronelle Park and TROJON Shorthorns are situated at Garland, Lyndhurst and have 330 breeders including 100 Stud Cows. A selection of these females will be on display at the Stud’s Beef Week Open Day.

On the Open Day the studs will have 18 bulls on display for sale. Leading the team of bulls in 2011 is Ronelle Park Eagle who is in the top 1% for 200 day weight and top 5% for 400 and 600 day weights and milk in Australia and New Zealand EBVs.

2010 was a very successful year of competition and sales for the Studs. At the Sydney Royal Easter Show and Beef Spectacular the title of Reserve Junior Champion heifer was won.

A 9 month old heifer was also sold at the Shorthorn National Sale for $5,250.

At Beef Spectacular for the 3rd year in a row the Studs had the highest scoring led Shorthorn steer and had the highest daily weight gain Beef Spectacular Feedlot trial team out of the 43 teams competing.

Out of 252 steers exhibited at the Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza the Studs won the Champion led heavyweight carcass, Champion led pure bred carcass and Reserve Champion unled heavy weight carcase.
